Raw Food Snacks

Trying to eat raw food in a not so raw world can be quite challenging. Try these foods when you’re in a hurry, traveling, or just keep as healthy snacks around the house.

Great snacks are imperative for success!

I always, ALWAYS, try to have several of the following foods available. I keep them in my kitchen, workout bag, office, car or any other place where I can see them and easily take one. This way, there’s always some delicious raw food alternative available when I get hungry.

I thought you might like to see this snack list. Remember ORGANIC is very important!

16 Raw Food Snacks

  • Sea Weed (nori sheets)
  • Green powder(try Renewal Greens by Innate),bottled water and stevia for a quick green juice.
  • Frozen fruits  (for making a quick smoothie)
  • Raw nuts and/or Trail mix (mix of dried nuts and dried or dehydrated fruits)
  • Cucumbers
  • Baby carrots
  • Celery
  • Avocado (as spread on bread, guacamole or chopped in cubes with oil and fresh lemon)
  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Coconut Chips
  • Pesto(basil and pine nuts),tapenade (olive spread), nut pate (cashew hummus) or other spread/dip (spinach hummus),(lentil spread)
  • Lara bar or home made raw food bar
  • Washed lettuce (romaine)
  • Raw olives
  • Home made protein balls (as pictured above)…my favorite!

Also try keeping some organic (sprouted) whole spelt, rye, brown rice or buckwheat bread (sliced) in your freezer. (Great toasted with organic butter and raw almond butter).

You will find that most of these foods are easy to keep stored, they keep well in the fridge, can be taken along on a trip, and eaten at the office.
