Hiking is one of the most enjoyable ways to exercise the muscles and cardiovascular system.

You only need a pair of comfortable shoes, a backpack with snacks and water, good company and some enthusiasm.

Try taking hikes in the places that you visit – there are plenty of opportunities in every country and they should have suitable terrain for all ability levels: a steep mountain, forest hiking paths, coastal paths, or walks in the field.

My sister Signe and I started our hike in Fira, and it took 40 minutes to get to Skaros Mountain. We took pictures of the beautiful sites along the way.

This was a very pretty hotel on the side of the cliff.
