Crispy brown rice treats are a healthier version of the rice krispies treats you might have grown up with.  I got rid of the marshmallow and replaced it with raw organic almond butter, organic butter and raw organic honey. For fun, you can add some raw organic cocoa nibs. These protein crispies are balanced and lightly sweet, making them a healthy snack any time of the day, and they are super easy to make.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups organic brown rice crispy cereal

2 tablespoons raw organic honey

2 tablespoons organic butter, melted

1/2 cup raw organic almond butter

1/2 teaspoon organic vanilla

2 scoops organic vanilla Vitel Whey protein powder

1 teaspoon organic cococnut oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly coat a square baking pan with 1 teaspoon of organic coconut oil. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, then place in baking pan. Flatten and cook for 10-15 minutes until mixture is crisp or lightly browned. Let cool and cut into squares. * try adding 1/4 cup raw organic cocoa nibs to mixture or melting, then drizzling a 75% dark organic chocolate bar on top for added goodness!
